Depok, May 3, 2026 — The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Indonesia (FFUI) participated in the Virtual Open House (VoH) for Foreign Nationals (WNA) held online by the University of Indonesia on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This activity aims to provide comprehensive information about academic programs to prospective international students while strengthening UI's image as a university with a global reputation.
In this activity, FFUI presented a number of speakers from various fields, namely Dr. apt. Baitha Palanggatan Maggadani, M.Farm. (Manager of Education, Student Affairs and Alumni Relations), Dr. apt. Atika Wahyu Puspitasari, M.Farm. (Head of Undergraduate Study Program), apt. Ratika Rahmasari, M.Pharm.Sc., Ph.D. (Head of Postgraduate Program), and apt. Erny Sagita, M.Farm., Ph.D. (Coordinator of Internationalization of Education and Academic Services). The presence of these speakers provided a comprehensive overview of the education system, academic services, and international opportunities offered by FFUI.
In her presentation, Dr. Erny stated that FFUI will launch various single, joint, and double degree programs starting in 2027 as part of its educational internationalization strategy. The upcoming programs include:
- Special Class Program International Single Degree Bachelor of Pharmacy UI–University of Queensland
- International Joint Degree Master of Industrial Pharmacy Program UI–University of Queensland
- Special International Double Degree Doctoral Program UI–Nara Institute of Science and Technology
These programs are designed to provide cross-border learning experiences with the support of reputable international university partners, so that students can gain global competencies that are relevant to industry needs and scientific developments.
Furthermore, Dr. Erny emphasized that FFUI is committed to continuously improving the quality of education, not only to excel at the national level but also to compete globally. "FFUI continues to strive to provide adaptive and internationally standardized pharmacy education, so that our graduates are not only ready to compete nationally but also globally," she said.
Dr. Baitha also added that pharmacy is a very broad and multidisciplinary discipline, so students need diverse learning experiences. "Pharmacy isn't limited to just one field. Students need to be open to learning from various perspectives, even across countries, because that's where global competencies can be developed," she explained.
FFUI's participation in this activity is part of the faculty's commitment to supporting the internationalization of the University of Indonesia and expanding access to pharmacy education for global students.
