Depok, July 1, 2026 – Faiza Raudyatuzzahra, a student at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Indonesia (FFUI), had the opportunity to participate in the AASP-CPDT Summer School 2026, an international program organized by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. This annual program, held from June 17–30, 2026, brings together pharmacy students from various countries to deepen their academic knowledge and pharmaceutical practice, and expand their international network.
During the two-week program, participants participated in various academic activities, beginning with an Opening Ceremony and orientation, followed by a series of expert lectures covering a variety of current topics in the field of pharmacy. Topics covered included the role of pharmacists in the healthcare system, community pharmacy practice, biologics developments, regulation and consumer protection of healthcare products, multidisciplinary management of chronic diseases, and case-based learning on the rational use of antibiotics.
In addition to classroom learning, participants also gained hands-on experience through various academic visits. Faiza and other participants visited Osotsala, Chulalongkorn University's teaching pharmacy, and the Museum of Natural Medicines to learn about the use of natural ingredients in the pharmaceutical industry. Participants also visited the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) to observe firsthand the drug production process, quality assurance system, and the implementation of the modern pharmaceutical industry in Thailand.
The program also provides a practical and cross-cultural learning experience. Participants participate in a lip balm-making workshop, a traditional Thai cooking workshop, and a Pharm. Innovation Talks: Shaping the Future of Healthcare session discussing innovation in healthcare. Additionally, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities at the Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center encourage participants to contribute to sea turtle conservation efforts, while visits to The Grand Palace and Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall provide an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Thai history and culture.
Regarding her experience participating in the program, Faiza revealed that the opportunity to study in an international environment provided many new experiences that enriched her competence as a pharmacy student.
"The AASP-CPDT Summer School 2026 gave me the opportunity to learn firsthand about global pharmacy practices while interacting with students from various countries. This experience enriched my academic knowledge, honed my collaboration skills in an international environment, and further motivated me to continue developing myself as a UI Pharmacy student," said Faiza Raudyatuzzahra.
The program closed on June 29, 2026 through a Closing Ceremony & Certificate Presentation, which was filled with reflections on activities, delivery of impressions and messages from representatives of participants from various countries, and the presentation of certificates as a sign of the completion of the program.
Faiza Raudyatuzzahra's participation in the AASP-CPDT Summer School 2026 reflects the University of Indonesia's Faculty of Pharmacy's commitment to encouraging students to actively participate in various international programs.
