Disease-related Biomarker
and Prospective Therapy

Head : Prof. Dr. apt. Fadlina Chany Saputri, M.Si

This research cluster focuses on studying disease-related biomarkers to improve diagnosis, early detection, prognosis, and the development of more effective and personalized treatments. The main goals are to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying various diseases – both infectious and non-infectious diseases, and to explore new therapeutic approaches based on biological targets using the latest scientific technologies. Key research areas include discovery and validation of genetic, protein, and metabolomic biomarkers; development of biomarker detection methods; studying how biomarkers relate to disease outcomes and treatment response; designing targeted therapies based on molecular targets; applying advanced technologies like CRISPR, gene therapy, and immunotherapy; and conducting preclinical studies and translating findings into clinical applications. This cluster brings together expertise in molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmacology, and immunology to support innovation in healthcare and precision medicine.
