About the Faculty
Pharmacy is the science and art of making drugs from natural and synthetic materials that are suitable and convenient for distribution and use in the prevention and treatment of disease. This profession has knowledge of identification, selection, preservation, combination, pharmacological action, analysis and standardization of drugs and medicinal materials, as well as proper and safe distribution, storage and use. In other words, those who work in the pharmaceutical field are drug experts who master the science and knowledge of drugs in depth from all aspects.
Farmasi UI is one of the departments at UI that was established and began accepting the first batch of students in September 1965 which was still joined by the Fakultas Ilmu Pasti dan Ilmu Alam (FIPIA) UI. Long story short, on November 29, 2011, Farmasi UI officially changed to Fakultas Farmasi UI according to the Decree of the Rector of the Universitas Indonesia No. 2408A/SK/R/2011.
The Faculty of Pharmacy manages 5 study programs including: Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Program, Pharmacist Professional Study Program, Master of Herbal Science Study Program, Master of Pharmaceutical Science Study Program, and Doctor of Pharmaceutical Science Study Program. All study programs at the Faculty of Pharmacy have been accredited as excellent according to the assessment of LAM-PTKes.
